This Sarracenia species is very cold hardy and can be grown outside without any problems down to temp as low as -15c. Plant have been naturalized in Ireland, Switzerland and parts of the UK. Ideal for a peat bog garden or outside in a planter. These plants produce rossettes of purple veined green pitchers and large dark red flowers in the spring. 3 - 4 year old plants sent out potted.
Mine has the colour of picture five, dark purple much smaller do.
The plant is very beutiful and detailed, would definutely recomend as the best beginer plant.
