Both plants were packed well and shipped extremely quick.
There was some slight damage to the long tom pot. But I rang Matt who helped me with exactly what to do, and gave me some extra tips on top, proper nice guy.
Everytime I've bought a plant from hantsflytrap it has always arrived in top notch condition, and exceeded my expectations.
They are looking good in their temporary home outside in the green house

(Image of huge box! And of Nepenthes x ventrata "Long Tom"
I was slightly worried on purchasing "Long Tom". It was supposed to be large and mature, but on unpacking (and the packaging was really impressive), I found that the plant was truly magnificent. A large and full plant, green and lush with no dry areas on the foliage or cups.
"Tom" was not bought to control the flies, but the plant is most certainly not a friend to the wasps which plague us!
It boils down to this: would I buy "Long Tom" again? Without a shadow of a doubt. Besides, this is hantsflytrap...and the name implies quality.
