BE4667 N. jamban – grex # 2 – assorted clones
-
DESCRIPTION
This vibrantly coloured species has distinctive toilet-shaped pitchers. The name “jamban” is derived from the Indonesian word for toilet. It’s a wonderfully beautiful and elegant species. Although quite a slow grower, it’s not particularly difficult. When mature, the pitchers hang in wonderful clusters.
We’re very proud to have been the first to introduce this species to cultivation from a sustainable source. This is the second grex we have produced and uses different parent plants to the grex # 1 offered under BE-3875. Also unlike BE-3875, this item is a random assortment from a huge number of different clones and there can be expected to be a large variation in colouration between individuals.
History: First introduced in March 2025.
Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics.
Source: Random selection from a huge number of different clones.
Climate: Highland. We grow it between about 26 deg. C (80 deg. F) in the daytime, down to 12 deg. C (54 deg. F) at night, although it will certainly tolerate temperatures well outside this range.
