BE4080 N. singalana x lowii – assorted clones

As this cross matures, we’re seeing unusually pronounced bristles appearing on the underside of the lids that are far more robust than on most N. lowii hybrids. All clones we have seen so far resemble the photos here with attractive colour gradients along the tendrils and a splash of yellow under the lids.

History: First introduced in Oct 2021.

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is N. singalana, which is our clone #5 selected from a grex of seed-raised plants for its superlative coloration. The male parent is a seed-raised N. lowii, with our Collection ID# 0410 and is the same specimen that has travelled around the world and been shown many times on exhibits such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court, Singapore Garden Festival and also shown by Sir David Attenborough in several of his documentaries.
