BE4053 N.veitchii x (burbidgeae x edwardsiana)

The stunning male parent, Nepenthes burbidgeae x edwardsiana and others are turning out to more like the Nepenthes veitchiifemale parent. All are gorgeous, as you can see here. Since all three parent species originate from the vicinity of Mt. Kinabalu in Sabah, it’s almost certain that at some point in history a similar cross would have existed naturally in the wild.

The Nepenthes veitchii we used as the female parent is a lowland form, so this item is classified as an ‘intermediate’ as it will grow well in a much wider range of temperatures than a similar cross using a highland form of Nepenthes veitchii.

History: First introduced in Aug 2022

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics.
