BE3980 N. (veitchii x lowii) x (burbidgeae x edwardsiana)

This cross compounds four of the most iconic species from Sabah and has the potential to be extremely large and spectacular in every way. All four of the parent species grow in close proximity in habitat, so it’s most likely that despite its complexity that this hybrid would have existed naturally at some point in the past.

A complex hybrid involving four such different looking species would always have a lot of variability between individuals. For that reason, we combined several hundred different clones produced from two greges, obtained at different times and we are seeing the expected variability in the output. The photos shown here are chosen to illustrate this.
