BE3736 N.eymae

Nepenthes eymae exhibits very different upper and lower pitchers – a feature known as ‘dimorphism’. When we first launched this item, we did so with a disclaimer that said: “so far as we know at the time of writing (Sep 2019) this should be the real thing, but until we have mature plants with upper pitchers, we can’t be completely certain.” From Feb 2021 we were able to show upper pitchers as well as intermediate pitchers, raised in our nurseries and which will enable everyone to make their own judgement as to whether or not this is the true species.

Please note that we did not selectively choose any particular specimen of BE-3736 for these photos and that the upper pitchers shown here are of the only plants we have to date that have produced uppers. The third photo in the series is of a lower pitcher of one of the clones.
