BE3479 N. ventricosa x burkei – selected clone

First introduced to cultivation in Sept 2021, it sold out immediately and returned for April 2022.

The female parent is N. ventricosa, which is clone #34 out of the assorted clones formerly sold under BE-3645 and has our Collection ID# 0781. The male parent is N. burkei, selected from amongst the assorted clones sold under BE-3254 and has our Collection ID# 1119.

Both parent species are amongst the most vigorous and easy-to-grow species in the entire genus and are also clearly related. The reason we made this cross may not be immediately obvious, but it was in the expectation that the resultant cross would be even more vigorous than either parent species, and this is indeed the case. The particular clone used for this item was chosen for several characteristics, including its fine coloration. This is a highly recommended cross for growers of all abilities.
